Air pollution significantly raises risk of infertility, study finds

A study in China shows that small-particle air pollution exposure is linked to a 20% increase in infertility.

Small-particle air pollution can cause inflammation which reduces fertility in couples. It is also known to increase effects such as premature birth, low birth weight, and an increase in miscarriages. The report suggests that governments take action to protect citizens against air pollution.
