Saratoga Biochar

Proposing to be the first facility in the state to turn 15% of the states toxic sewage sludge into contaminated fertilizers, while exposing Moreau and area communities to air, water, and noise pollution.

After a long battle, the Moreau Town Planning board approved the application for Saratoga Biochar without an independent review sighting a negative declaration for the SEQRA.  Statements within the SEQRA have been questioned and the community residents demanded that the negative declaration be recinded, however, the Town Planning Board gave the company the green light.

CAAN is now able to move forward with plans to support multiple residents file a lawsuit
