Shannon Gillis is a resident of Hudson Falls. She has a B.S. in Biology from St. Lawrence University and works at Hudson Falls Middle School. She works with NOAA, NYS Master Teacher, and the University of Albany to engage students in civic efforts to mitigate human impact on the biosphere. Recently, in collaboration with Tracy and residents of Fort Edward and the surrounding community, we founded Hands off the Hudson (HOTH), in an effort to limit the impact of industrialization on the the environment and quality of life of residents.
